Brick Fund Raiser

Tiling Array How Does a Brick Fund-Raiser Work?

Most groups undertaking a brick fundraiser for their organization are doing it for the first time.Contact us to receive your information packet with all the information you need to get started,

Laying a brick walkway or patio with a sand-base installation is generally considered to be a do-it-yourself project.  This long-accepted type of installation provides for an ongoing project so that a second or third round of donations can be installed at a later date by taking up the blank bricks in the project.  For community projects, more often than not there is a mason or landscape expert who is willing to donate expertise for the benefit of his community.  You can encourage this by offering a brick commemorating his efforts!

You will need to consider what type of installation you would like.  The possibilities are endless for both indoors and outdoors.  Bricks and tiles can be used not only for traditional walkways and patios, but have been used as decorative additions to existing cement walkways, as a unique wainscoting on both inside and outside walls constructed of different materials, and as a base for benches, fountains, flagpoles and other decorative elements.

Almost all the clay pavers popular in New England mark beautifully with the laser.  You will want to choose the brick style that suits your existing architecture and marking requirements.  The range of available bricks covers the spectrum from new red brick to antique-looking, weathered shades.  If you or your architect has a specific brick in mind, please ask us about its marking capabilities.

Once you have made your decision to run a brick fundraiser, our information packet contains all the information you need to solicit sales.  You can design your order forms with your own special format in mind.  The latest versions of Word contain brochure templates that are easily adapted and customized for your project.   If your committee wants to have a certain uniform look to the installation, you can specify the format on your order form.  For instance:  All capital letters, initial capital letters, standardized abbreviations, or no guidelines at all except for the 3-line, 20 characters per line limitation of the process itself.  If you are going to offer the clip-art symbols as an option, be sure to include the text limitations on the order form (see the example “Bricks are the Pathway…” included in the Samples of Order Forms section in your information packet.

Remember to extend your campaign to the widest possible audience.  If you are raising money for a school, for instance, be sure to extend your efforts to your entire town.  This will include previous graduates, parents, grandparents, etc.  If you have a website – include your brick campaign with the explanation of how the funds will be used.  Arrange for several visible opportunities as reminders.  Forms often get set aside for later attention, so repeat reminders are definitely rewarding.

As soon as you begin your campaign, we will send you a simple text disk containing instructions for recording your individual bricks.  Be sure to proof read this information with another person against your original order form to eliminate misspellings, since this information goes directly to the laser.

When you’re ready to order, simply forward us the text disk you receive from us along with your check and tax-exempt number, and we will process your individualized bricks.  Remember that your per brick costs includes shipping.

Contact us to receive your information packet with all the information you need to get started, including price list, sample order forms, and colored photos of previous innovative projects. and specify if you would like to also receive a sample brick.  A brief description of your organization’s project and goals gives us an opportunity to share the experiences with similar projects.
